New York governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation on Friday geared toward holding massive AI builders accountable for the protection of their fashions. The RAISE Act establishes guidelines for larger transparency, requiring these corporations to publish details about their security protocols and report any incidents inside 72 hours of their incidence. It comes just a few months after California adopted related laws.
However, the penalties aren’t going to be almost as steep as they had been initially introduced when the invoice handed again in June.
